Forklift Driver/ Material HandlerJob Type: FTReports to: Warehouse SupervisorLocation: Laredo, TXSchedule: Different Shifts / Must be able to Work OTEssential Functions and Responsibilities:Must comply with safety procedures and regulations at all times.First point of contact in the yard - directs customers and deliveries.Keeps track of ticketed materials, properly identifies vehicles and person, and attains required legal documentation of customers.Assesses weigh materials inbound and outbound into process area.Accurate identification of material to assign correct value.Provide customer service, ensures customers specs and contract requirements are fulfilled.Accurate record keeping.Assesses by grade accurate weight of material orders for loading.Identify the proper carrier to pick up correct materials/container.Loads and unloads material to/from trailer properly meeting safety standards.Ensure safety procedures are met and forklift is properly maintained.Other duties as assigned in general support of the organization.Experience and Skill RequirementsForklift experience and certification desired, additional on-site training will be provided2 years experience in either operations and or manufacturing environmentPrior knowledge of metal identification is a plusAble to stand and walk for long periodsEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPhysical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
