About our Head of TV & Film:
Reporting to audiochuck’s CEO, the Head of Film & TV will play a crucial role in shaping the content portfolio and overall success of projects as audiochuck expands their portfolio from Podcasts and Books into the big and small screen. Their responsibilities will encompass packaging, developing, and selling strong commercial film and television projects that align with the voice and subject matter in which audiochuck excels. Strong relationships with writers, producers (creative talent generally) and buyers is of primary importance.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee the development, production, and acquisition of TV and film content.
Monitor and manage budgets for the division. This includes forecasting, resource allocation, and cost management to achieve financial goals and maximize profitability.
Engage in ongoing and effective collaboration with group companies, internal teams, external partners, including production companies, talent agencies, buyers, legal advisors, and distributors.
Make clear recommendations related to project creative elements, investment rationale, deal structure and promotional strategy.
Provide leadership and direction to executives, producers, development teams, and other professionals. Foster a collaborative, creative, and talent friendly work environment.
Regularly review audience feedback, ratings, and other relevant data to guide decision-making and future content development.
Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders. Communicate goals, achievements, and challenges effectively.
What you will bring to the table:
Substantial experience in the TV & film industry is crucial. This may include roles in content development, production, acquisitions, programming, or related areas.
Broad and well-established connections within the entertainment industry, including relationships with producers, writers, directors, actors, talent and literary agencies, and other key stakeholders.
Senior leadership experience, preferably at the executive level.
A successful track record in developing and managing TV and film content that has achieved high viewership, critical acclaim, and commercial success.
Strong business acumen with an understanding of the financial aspects of running a TV & Film division from the producing side of the table, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue generation.
The ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans aligning with the company's objectives, including content positioning and commercial targets.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead teams effectively. This includes experience in team management, talent development, and fostering a positive work culture.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with internal teams, external partners, and senior leadership.
Strong analytical skills to interpret data, assess performance metrics, and make informed decisions about content and business strategies.

This is a full-time, in-person position located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The base salary for this role is between $350,000 and $400,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
