Job Title: Test Technician for product & packaging
Location: San Diego, CA
Pay Rate: $23–$25/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Position Overview:

We are seeking an entry-level Test Technician to support our clients test engineering team in conducting packaging and product testing for their clients. The Test Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of all testing processes.

Ideally, we are seeking a candidate who wants a "foot-in-the-door" within the packaging and testing industry. We would like someone with a bachelor's degree with minimal work experience who is eager and motivated to grow!

In this role, you will:

• Support test engineers in performing package and product testing
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and document control protocols to maintain testing accuracy and quality
• Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to determine compliance with client specifications and industry standards
• Ensure all testing is conducted with precision and in accordance with established quality systems

Job Summary:
The Test Technician will be responsible for conducting a variety of tests to ensure product compliance with quality standards and client specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to standard operating procedures, and strong documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure project accuracy and quality through document control, SOP compliance, and auditing
• Perform client-specific testing per Quality Systems and Standard Operating Procedures
• Complete testing and related documentation within scheduled work hours
• Communicate proactively with clients to ensure objectives are met
• Conduct testing with integrity and precision, minimizing non-conformance
• Collect, record, and organize testing data and related documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in line with 5S and site standards
• Perform accurate data entry, including customer contact records
• Assist with additional duties and projects as assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong work ethic and high level of professionalism
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills
• Basic understanding of algebra, statistics, and geometry

Preferred Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in a testing lab, manufacturing, or production environment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, protocols, and procedures
• Familiarity with packaging fundamentals and general tool usage (hand and light power tools)
