Job Description

DESCRIPTION

At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. One customer experience that we’re constantly looking to take to a new level is how we fulfill and deliver their orders. Our goal is to exceed the expectations of all our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small are delivered where and when they need them, as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible. To meet this goal, Amazon is continually striving to innovate and provide best-in-class service levels by pioneering new products and services in the last mile delivery space. We are doing this by building a world class last mile operation, significantly complimented by Amazon Flex. Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors – called Delivery Partners – to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss by delivering Amazon packages.

As a Program Manager on our Growth & Expansions team, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of projects as we experiment with new iterations of modes of transportation in countries where Amazon Flex operates. You will work closely with product managers who design these new offers and operating models, and you will work with local teams to operationalize these ideas.

To deliver effectively, you will need to collaborate with business and operations teams, to understand their most pressing challenges and the Delivery Partner experience in each region. You will explore new growth opportunities, create operational business plans that deliver high-quality experiences for our Delivery Partners, and streamline the way we plan, test and launch new offers and operating models. You help teams determine where to iterate to make improvements and define success metrics. Your work will be a critical input for the development of product roadmaps.

The ideal candidate has a track record of success in project and stakeholder management, is a strong writer and communicator, and is resourceful. You are a ‘hands-on’ person with high level of autonomy and you are not afraid to drive results from the front. This will be a high-visibility role, meaning you are comfortable with driving critical business decisions in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, and interacting with all levels of the organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
