Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Additional Compensation Tips Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 + Tips Company Overview World-renowned fine dining establishment celebrated for its artistic and innovative culinary approach Emphasizes sustainable practices, locally sourced ingredients, and delivering unmatched experiences Offers Health, Dental, and Vision insurance 401K with company match Flexible PTO and paid holidays Staff meals and dining discounts Electronic and phone monthly reimbursement Your Role Provide warm, professional, and attentive service, guiding guests through wine selections and ensuring all beverage service standards are met Collaborate with the Lead Sommelier to train, mentor, and develop junior staff in wine knowledge, service technique, and beverage education Maintain organization and cleanliness of the wine cellar and fridges; assist with receiving, binning, and storing wine to ensure proper inventory management Ensure accuracy of wine list and takeaway options; assist with monthly inventory of wine and glassware Support beverage cost control by monitoring pour levels, minimizing waste, and reporting corked or faulted wines Contribute to development and preparation of non-alcoholic beverages and creative pairing options Stay current with wine trends through regular tasting, research, and industry engagement Assist with opening and closing duties, including POS reconciliation and gratuity tallies Uphold all steps of service to ensure exceptional hospitality Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Level 1 Sommelier (or higher) in a Michelin-starred establishment Excellent food and beverage knowledge, with a strong focus on French wines and cuisine Proficient with Google Workspace and inventory systems Strong leadership, mentorship, and commitment to sustainability and growth Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask in high-pressure environments Highly detail-oriented and physically capable of executing responsibilities safely and efficiently Additional Information
