Company Overview:
Our client is a growing food manufacturing company with three operational locations. We are seeking a highly strategic and hands-on finance leader with a strong background in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial modeling, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in the food manufacturing industry and a proven ability to partner across supply chain and commercial teams to drive efficiencies and identify cost savings. Experience with Power BI and dashboard development is essential.
Position Summary:
The Vice President of Finance (FP&A Focus) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for leading all aspects of the FP&A function. This role will drive financial strategy, oversee budgeting and forecasting, and deliver critical insights to support informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all FP&A activities, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-term strategic planning, and scenario analysis.
Develop and maintain robust financial models to evaluate business performance, profitability, and potential growth opportunities.
Serve as a strategic partner to supply chain and commercial teams to uncover and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis.
Build and enhance reporting dashboards and analytics using Power BI.
Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and tools to support scalability and transparency.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify risks and opportunities for performance
improvement.
Support M&A efforts including due diligence, valuation modeling, and post-acquisition financial integration.
Provide thought leadership and mentoring to a high-performing FP&A team.
Collaborate with Accounting, Investor Relations, and other finance functions to ensure alignment across financial reporting and strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
10+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant experience in FP&A roles.
Proven track record of success in the food manufacturing industry.
Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills.
Strong background in cost accounting and building costing structures from the ground up.
Proficiency in financial planning tools (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan) and ERP systems.
Advanced Power BI skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and manage dashboards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience influencing executive leadership.
