About the Role
Sprecher Brewing Company—Wisconsin’s original craft brewery and home of the best fire-brewed root beer in America—is seeking a data-driven, hands-on Director of Marketing to lead our transformation from a beloved Midwest staple into a nationally iconic craft beverage brand.
You will oversee marketing for our rapidly expanding beverage portfolio—including Sprecher sodas, Oh La Lemin, Juvee, WBC, Green River, and more—while driving execution across retail, digital, shopper, and trade channels. This role demands startup agility, big-brand thinking, and ROI-focused creativity—stretching a shoestring budget to build something nationally meaningful.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute a national marketing strategy to grow Sprecher and its brands regionally and nationally
- Leverage Nielsen, IRI, and VIP data to drive insights, optimize campaigns, and guide retail strategy
- Create, manage, and track detailed marketing KPIs—velocity, ACV, sell-through, pricing performance, promotional ROI, unit economics, and store count growth
- Partner with sales to align on pricing architecture, trade strategy, and promotional planning to drive volume and improve sell-through
- Lead brand activations, influencer programs, social and digital content, PR campaigns, and experiential efforts—cost-effectively
- Manage and grow a talented marketing team across brand, creative, digital, and content
- Foster close collaboration across product, operations, sales, and finance to meet growth objectives
- Embrace a startup mentality—test, learn, adapt, and drive high-impact results with lean resources
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years in consumer marketing with experience in beverages, CPG, or high-growth challenger brands
- Strong working knowledge of Nielsen, IRI, VIP, and pricing analytics
- Proven track record of building and managing KPIs related to velocity, ACV, promotions, pricing, and ROI
- Deep experience in trade marketing, digital, influencer, and grassroots brand-building
- Strong analytical mindset with comfort in interpreting performance data and financials
- Passion for brand storytelling, a sharp creative instinct, and a bias for execution
- Thrives in fast-paced, resource-constrained, entrepreneurial environments
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience working with grocery, convenience, and mass retailers (e.g., Costco, Walmart, Target, Dollar Tree, Menards, publix …)
- Experience launching or scaling emerging beverage brands at a national level
- Demonstrated success managing lean budgets for high-ROI marketing programs
